Code of Conduct

All candidates, paid staff, and contractors with a contract term longer than one month will be required to acknowledge and agree to this code of conduct as a condition of employment. This code of conduct will be made visible to campaign volunteers.

I, __________________________, understand that the following values, policies, and practices govern all employees, volunteers, contractors, vendors, and others working with the Tor For Port campaign (the “Campaign”). I hereby agree to abide by the following as a requirement of my paid involvement with the Campaign, and understand that failure to do so may result in my dismissal.

The Tor For Port campaign’s objective is to elevate the Port of Bellingham through education, outreach, and diligence with the ultimate goal of representing the 4th District. In order to promote the Port, the candidate, volunteers, supporters, and staff will conduct themselves with a positive outlook and will be courteous to other candidates and port staff to create a collegial environment for productive discussion. We acknowledge and promote policies of non-discrimination and harassment, and will actively work to provide a cohesive and inclusive campaign. The campaigns standard will that which is seen in a courtroom without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status
